Dramatic victory in the finale (videos & photos)

Δραματική νίκη στο φινάλε (βίντεο & φωτογραφίες)

Anorthosi’s and AEK’s fans attended a very exciting game on Monday afternoon, at Antonis Papadopoulos stadium. The game seemd to be ending in a tie and Anorthosi’s superiority wouldn’t result to the three points again. The man of the last minute though was Toni Calvo, who kicked a foul from a considerable distance and scored, sending our fans home with a wide smile.

Signora Vecchia had a nervous 15-minute start but took charge of the game after that, looking for an early goal. Yurii Yakovenko was the man who succeded to see his name put up on the scoreboard first, taking advantage of the compination of Aburjania and Ede.

Five minuted before half-time, AEK managed to equalize with Colautti. Toni Calvo’s foul hit the post injury time and the two teams went to the dressing rooms in a tie.

In the second half, both teams had their chances for the winners but the goalkeepers refused a goal to the offenders. The game seemed to be going to a compromise but Calvo hadn’t said his last word yet. With a distant free kick, he sent the ball to pop in the small area first and then – once fooled everyone – to rest in Negri’s net.

Anorthosis was improved in certain areas and managed to gain it’s first victory in the year. The attendance of the fans was significant and we wish to thank them for their warm presence. Before us, we have an extremely hard and jammed program and we must prepare properly for it.

Two yellow cards for Anorthosis (Antic and Calvo) and four for the opponent.

Anorthosis (Andre Paus): Kaminski, Andic, Nuhu, Holgersson, Serran, Maisouradze, Aburjania (82′ Garcia), Laifis, Calvo, Ede (66 ‘Makris) Yakovenko (77’ Sabala).
