Heavy loss by 4-1, for our team in Limassol, against AEL.
In the first half we had the ball possession, but AEL scored in the 31st minute. Our team didn’t manage to equalize before half-time, losing its greatest chance in 41′ when Aburjania’s shot was blocked by Romero.
Starting the second half, AEL scored once more, in the 48th minute. Anorthosis from there on was more defensive and succeeded to score a goal on 56′, when Yakovenko with a header took advantage of Toni Calvo’s assist.
Against the flow of the match, Anorthosis received a third goal on 66′, which basically killed the game. Despite that, our players pressured AEL but unfortunately it was Limassol’s team that scored once again, just before the final blow of the whistle.
